Alta Hair Studio is an Eco hair and beauty salon in Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire.
The salon was established by Claire McEvoy, a highly experienced stylist who lives in the High Peak. Claire is committed to changing salon practice to be as sustainable as possible, and led the way with an Eco approach to the renovation of the disused old shop into a clean, modern stylish salon space. The salon has joined the Green Salon Collective recycling scheme, and are a Davines appointed Salon, also stocking Moroccanoil and Olaplex.
At Alta we only sell products we believe in. We are stockists of Davines, Olaplex and Moroccan Oil. All ranges offer a selection of hair care and styling products which cover all hair types and textures.
Davines has been chosen for its strong sustainability ethos and commitment to a high quality professional prescriptive range of hair and scalp care, alongside an everyday hair care and styling range with products sourced from farms local to the production site in Italy, where farmers are supported to protect endangered crops to maintain environmental diversity.
Moroccan Oil has built its reputation on being the original Argan Oil hair products producer and are committed to giving back to the community, and inspiring others to do the same whilst having a forward-thinking sustainability plan and are commited to fighting ocean plastic.

Alta Hair Studio is situated in the Peak district market town of Chapel-en-le-Frith in the High Peak.
We can be found in part of an old historical building which sits directly behind the Grade 2 listed Olde Stocks. The salon can be accessed to the rear of the building off the old cobbled lanes of Terrace Road or Penny Lane.
Parking in Chapel-en-le-Frith is free, with on road parking on Market Place road for up to an hour, and in Miry Meadows car park to the rear of the Co-op for longer appointments.
